Five Bullet Friday

Five Bullet Friday is just stuff from my life that is interesting or useful. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

Book(s) that I am reading

[easyazon_link identifier=”0747594805″ locale=”UK” tag=”idanceorg-21″ cart=”y”]The Graveyard Book[/easyazon_link] by Neil Gaiman

OMG, what a fun read. It could be the next ‘Harry Potter’. Just read it before it’s a movie, ok?

Things that made me smile

We are getting so much positive feedback on our event this year. Keep it coming!

From Leanne Murray on Facebook:

It was mine and my dancers first ever experience at HHI and each dancer came home with a fire and passion in their bellies. They were so inspired by so many during the weekend it was a creative awakening for many of them including myself and we loved and learnt from every second of the weekend. Thank you so much the amazing opportunity x

Purchase (or something) I am excited about

Kettlebells are reported to come from Russia, and were created as a simple tool to build ‘functional’ strength or, as I call it, strength through a range of ‘natural’ activities. The ‘King’ of exercises is the Kettlebell swing.

The kettlebell swing is a deceptively simple exercise where you swing the kettlebell from between your legs to parallel to the floor. In the process of doing it you work the all of your large muscle groups, legs, back, glutes and abs, plus your auxilliary muscle groups get a workout from the functional requirement of managing the swing safely.

It is ‘perfect’ for a small space where you want to do some training.I do 75 reps in total, broken into sets of 25.  I am working towards 150 reps – 2 sets of 75 reps.

You can also do kettlebell curls, cleans, getups and more. I really great workout.

Ah Ha! or Tip of the week

I have recently started to become obsessive about tracking… what I eat, what I spend, journalling. I am finding that when I go back and review I am AMAZED about how simply keeping track is changing my life. I encourage you to do the same

My most popular post this week.

Into the Hoods Ticket GiveAway. If you missed the last one, won by Jane Hurley of Brighton, then you better not miss this one. It's your last chance to win a pair of tickets to this excellent show.

The five Bullet Concept
The five bullet friday concept is a shamelessly ripped off idea from Tim Ferris, author of the [easyazon_link identifier=”0091929113″ locale=”UK” tag=”idanceorg-21″ cart=”y”]4 Hour Work Week[/easyazon_link], [easyazon_link identifier=”0091939526″ locale=”UK” tag=”idanceorg-21″ cart=”y”]4 Hour Body[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”1477800077″ locale=”UK” tag=”idanceorg-21″ cart=”y”]4 Hour Chef[/easyazon_link]. Tim is self-experimenter who's inspired millions of high achievers to achieve even more.
